At AEP Cambridge North, we use the latest in cutting-edge technology to provide clients with machining, fabricating, welding, and design support. In business since 1991, we run medium to small production projects in our air‑conditioned facility that is conveniently located in Cambridge.Compensation Range:up to $42.00 hourlyThe CWB Welding & Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the welding and fabrication team. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company standards and industry regulations.Primary Responsibilities:Supervise, coordinate, and support the welding and fabrication team to meet production schedules, quality standards, and established cycle timesMonitor and drivecycle time adherence, ensuring work is completed within defined production timelines while maintaining quality and safety standardsIdentify process improvements to optimize workflow, reduce bottlenecks,
and improve overall efficiencyEnsure all welding and fabrication activities comply with Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards and requirementsMaintain and enforce adherence to applicable welding procedures, specifications, and quality control processesEnsure inspections are conducted in accordance with required standardsHold and maintainCWB Level 2 Welding Inspection Certification, ensuring all inspection requirements under this certification are properly followedProvide technical guidance, training, and performance oversight to team membersPromote and enforce a strong safety culture within the departmentCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvementEducational Requirements:High school DiplomaRequired Skills & Expertise:A minimum of 5 years’ hands‑on experience in manufacturing, preferably in a fabrication environment.At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.Flexible, service‑oriented, and hands‑on management professional who can successfully direct, motivate, and train staff.Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, mentoring, and organizational skills.Ability to make critical decisions to accomplish production goals.Ability to work in a rapid‑paced environment,
