The College of New Caledonia is recruiting for a Full Time Probationary Faculty appointment in the Dental Hygiene program. The successful candidate will be involved in delivering years one and two of the program and will teach theory, lab and clinical courses.You will be part of an education team at CNC, engaged in contributing to, and supporting student’s and the College’s vision, Strategic Plan, Educational Plan and goals. In addition, you will contribute to a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that allows you to interact with students, co-workers, management and external partners.Minimum RequirementsLicensing with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP) or eligibility for licensure with BCCOHP.Local anesthetic certification with BCCOHP or eligibility for licensure with BCCOHP.Dental Hygiene Practitioner® or Registered Dental Hygienist®.Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to dental hygiene education (e.G., bachelors in dental hygiene, education, sciences). Candidates enrolled in but not completed in a bachelor’s degree program will be considered.
A plan for completion of the bachelor’s degree within 5 years or less will be required.BC Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (PIDP) or similar courses. Candidates enrolled in but not completed the PIDP will be considered.3 years of experience in the dental hygiene profession.Computer literacy including use of electronic learning platforms.A combination of education and teaching experience will be considered.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in a related field of study.Previous teaching experience.Diversity in dental employment experience.The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate strong organization abilities and be able to set priorities; have strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills; strong professional commitment; an on-going interest instudent success and lifelong learning; excellent communicationskills and work collaboratively with educational partners.You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicate in a qualified manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.Salary: $73,879 - $87,659 (commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience)Location: Prince George, Canada#J-18808-Ljbffr
