Help adults with developmental disabilities thrive as a Community Support Worker at the Fort St. John Association for Community Living. This meaningful role emphasizes self-determination and quality of life.
Within the Supported-Independent Living Program, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals to live independently in the community. You'll coordinate service hours based on their preferences, assist with self-determination and safety skills, and create opportunities for inclusion and health promotion, allowing individuals to enhance their life quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients to structure service hours effectively • Facilitate development of safety and self-determination skills • Promote health and quality of life through skill-building activities • Engage clients in community participation efforts • Foster a sense of community belonging and inclusion
Requirements: • Valid Class 5 Driver's license and vehicle • Ability to pass a criminal record check • Solid initiative and communication skills • Outgoing and creative personality • Flexibility in schedule is essential
