As a Resident Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. every day.What makes you a great fit?Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous serviceCompletes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignmentsTransports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as requiredCompletes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignmentsDeals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leaderPractices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and servicePerforming other duties as assignedWhat you need to know:Minimum of six months of experience in a similar roleCurrent First Aid/CPR trainingExcellent command of the verbal and written English language skillsAbility to work independently and/or as a member of a teamCertification in Personal Support Worker or Personal Care Worker, or a 16-hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department. If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.
