We are looking for an individual based in Greater Vancouver with potential to travel to outreach areas around the province periodically.In this role, you will provide assessment and consultation of safe eating, drinking, and swallowing for adults with developmental disabilities living in the community. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or expertise in dysphagia management. We are looking for an individual based in Greater Vancouver who is willing to travel to outreach areas around the province periodically.In this role,



you will provide assessment and consultation to address physical and rehabilitation needs, with a particular focus on supporting safe eating, drinking, and swallowing for adults with developmental disabilities living in the community. You will work closely within a supportive interprofessional team to deliver coordinated, client-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized dysphagia assessment and support for adults with special needs related to neurological, developmental, and complex chronic health conditions in the Greater Vancouver area and across BC, through in-person, outreach, and virtual telehealth services.Work together with the client, family, and their care team to complete dysphagia assessments, provide recommendations, and coordinate equipment provision to support the individuals’ safe eating and drinking.Work collaboratively with other health professionals involved in each client’s care to ensure coordinated, person-centred service delivery.Participate in and contribute to formal and informal education related to safe eating, swallowing and mealtime practices.Prepare clear, thorough,
