Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or expertise in adult or pediatric neurological conditions. We are looking for an individual based in Greater Vancouver.In this role, you will provide assessment and consultation to address physical and rehabilitation needs, with a particular focus on positioning and mobility including specialized equipment provision, orthotics, tone, pain management and chronic respiratory management for adults with developmental disabilities living in the community. Many clinicians have been with us for decades, providing consistent, person-centered, interdisciplinary care across community settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide community rehabilitation consultation services to adults with developmental disabilities including conducting functional assessments, developing individualized rehabilitation plans, equipment recommendation and funding, and education for caregivers to maximize health, safety, and participation.Work together with the client, family, and their care team to assess, provide recommendations,



and coordinate equipment provision to support the individuals physical and functional needs.Work collaboratively with other health professionals involved in each client’s care to ensure coordinated, person‑centred service delivery.Participate in and contribute to formal and informal education related to physical management of individuals with developmental needs.Prepare clear, thorough, and timely documentation and reports.Required QualificationsDegree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institutionRegistration with the College of Health & Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)Based in lower mainland with regional travel as requiredBC Driver’s LicenseProfessional Liability InsuranceBeneficial Experience and InterestsStrong interest/experience in physical assessment and management of individuals with developmental disabilities including provision of specialized mobility equipment.
