About The Role We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to support the design, development, integration, and verification of advanced energy and IoT products. This role is ideal for a systems-focused engineer with a strong design engineering background and hands-on experience working with complex electrical systems, connected products, and multidisciplinary R&D; teams.

You will contribute to the development of PV inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV chargers, and energy management solutions , working across hardware, firmware, software, communications, and control systems. The ideal candidate brings strong electrical fundamentals, a systematic approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to independently own design and verification activities in a fast-paced product development setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the definition, analysis, and management of system and product requirements for PV inverters, BESS, EV chargers, and energy management solutions.
- Translate system and functional requirements into comprehensive verification and validation strategies, test plans, and test procedures.
- Execute functional, performance, reliability, regression, and qualification testing at board, subsystem, and system levels.
- Perform testing in both laboratory and field environments across electrical, thermal, environmental, and communication conditions.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and test results throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support system integration involving hardware, firmware, software, communication interfaces, and control algorithms.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform structured root cause analysis.




- Manage defects and coordinate corrective actions with electrical, firmware, software, controls, and other engineering teams.
- Support product qualification, reliability assessments, compliance testing, and certification activities.
- Develop and maintain test infrastructure, test documentation, and verification artifacts.
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage requirements, changes, test activities, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D; teams to improve system performance, functionality, reliability, and product quality.
- Support system-level design activities and take ownership of assigned product and system engineering deliverables.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 8+ years of engineering experience, including significant hands-on design engineering experience.
- At least 3+ years of independent Design Engineering experience.
- Previous Systems Engineering experience, with demonstrated responsibility for product or system ownership.
- Experience designing and developing complex products, systems, or IoT solutions.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and AC circuit fundamentals, including:

- Complex analysis

- Harmonics
- Three-phase circuits

- Circuit decomposition

- Control schemes
- Hands-on experience with AC/DC sources, electronic loads, and batteries.




- Experience using electrical measurement and diagnostic equipment such as:

- Oscilloscopes

- Power analyzers

- CAN analyzers
- Strong knowledge of communication networks and protocols including CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet.
- Basic coding and scripting capabilities using C and/or Python.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting Cloud APIs.
- Strong systematic approach to testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and complex problem solving.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional, multidisciplinary R&D; environments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PV inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV charging systems, or energy management platforms.
- Experience with complex IoT products and connected electrical systems.
- Experience integrating hardware, firmware, software, communications, and control algorithms.
- Experience with system-level product architecture and technical design ownership.
- Experience supporting product qualification, reliability, compliance, or certification programs.
- Familiarity with requirements management, verification traceability, and defect management processes.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for engineering project and verification management.
- Experience troubleshooting cloud-connected products and APIs.
- Strong experience working across electrical, software, firmware, controls, and systems engineering teams.
