(MACSI), you will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of full course and short order meals of the food services section of the Treatment Centre. This position reports directly to the Regional Director. All candidates must have a valid First Aid & CPR certification and Food Protected handling course. Schedule of work is 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday. 112 hours in a 3 week period scheduled day off every 3rd Friday. This position is open to applicants of all genders.Your responsibilities will include:Follow menus, prepare,
and serve attractive and nutritionally balanced mealsPrepare food according to standardized menus and recipesGather and combine ingredients requiredWash, slice, chop, grate, stir, knead, measure, mix and weigh food productsCooking general healthy wholesome meals, food preparation, grilling, BBQ, steaming, roasting and bakingCook breakfast, lunch, dinner and BBQ for client outingsPrepare foods such as meat, potatoes, casseroles, vegetables, soups, salads, sandwiches, pancakes, eggs, French toast; and desserts suchas cobbler, cakes, pies, cookies, bread, custard and gelatinProvide special foods for clients with dietary needs and/or restrictionsPrepare food for special events and activitiesEnsure health and sanitary standards and regulations for food services are followed in daily kitchen operationsPerform the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen area, dining room and refrigeration and storage areasEnsure that all freezers and food storage units are kept lockedReport any concerns related to the efficient operation of the kitchen to the Regional DirectorReport any malfunctions of kitchen equipment to the Regional DirectorGeneral housekeeping dutiesHeavy lifting#J-18808-Ljbffr
