**Job Title: Packager**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on receiving, diagnosing, repairing, and packaging returned gaming products in a fast-paced warehouse and office environment.
You will handle incoming shipments, perform basic troubleshooting, accurately log information in computer systems, and prepare products for return shipment to customers.
The position offers the opportunity to learn more advanced software testing and diagnostics as you develop in the role.
**Responsibilities**
Receive and process incoming shipments from carriers at the main office location, including counting and scanning packages to ensure no items are missing.
Open received packages containing defective or broken switches and related products and verify that contents match customer order numbers and addresses in the computer system.
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues, such as replacing joystick attachments and identifying potential software or hardware problems for escalation to technical experts.
Log the identified issues and proposed fixes in the computer system and update all relevant records accurately and in a timely manner.
Package repaired or replacement products and prepare them for shipment in the computer system, ensuring correct shipping and customer information.
Organize and prepare returned parts that need to be sent to other locations, including international shipments, and maintain a tidy and efficient work area.
Work through the receiving process in the repairs area, including opening boxes, cross-referencing codes and customer IDs in the system, and moving items through triage and storage stages.
Validate and verify reported issues during triage by replicating the problem, determining whether a new product should be initiated, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Transfer data or information as required, including uploading information onto new products and cross-referencing shipping and consumer addresses to match ID numbers.
Palletize completed shipments and ensure they are sent off to consumers accurately and on schedule.
At the warehouse location, receive pallets at the shipping bay, use a manual pallet jack to move pallets safely, and scan in received inventory.
Organize, sort, and place inventory and returns in assigned areas, maintaining clear labeling and orderly storage.
Support 5S and Lean concepts by keeping work areas organized, clean, and efficient, and by contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Perform repetitive warehouse tasks such as packing orders, picking items, kitting, and sorting while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Follow all safety procedures, remain alert to moving equipment and other hazards, and comply with company rules and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with team members by giving and receiving instructions, sharing information, and suggesting solutions to improve processes.
Participate in training and, as performance allows, learn more advanced software testing and diagnosing tasks within the repairs area.
Regularly lift and move items up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties.
Coordinate break times with the team when possible to support efficient workflow and coverage.
**Essential Skills**
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and use company-specific software systems.
Ability to complete basic forms, logs, and other written documents in English.
Basic math skills for counting, picking, kitting, and verifying quantities in a warehouse workplace.
Physical capability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods as required by the role.
Ability to regularly lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs safely.
High attention to detail when cross-referencing codes, customer IDs, and shipping addresses in the computer system.
Experience in packaging or warehouse work, including tasks such as packing orders, scanning, and picking.
Experience diagnosing or repairing products, including basic troubleshooting of hardware or simple components.
Strong communication skills to give and receive instructions and share information clearly and professionally.
Reliable work ethic with a commitment to following company rules and procedures.
Ability to work well under a moderate level of stress while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing tasks and priorities.
Positive energy and a strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Interest in and/or knowledge of gaming products and related technology.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Familiarity with 5S and Lean concepts in a warehouse or production environment.
Experience using a manual pallet jack to move pallets safely within a warehouse.
Experience in repairs or technical troubleshooting, particularly with consumer electronics or gaming products.
Comfort working in a repetitive, line-style warehouse setting while maintaining focus and quality.

Ability to coordinate effectively with a small team in both office and warehouse settings.
Openness to overtime when required to meet operational needs.

**Work Environment**
The work environment combines a large, modern office space with a smaller warehouse setting.
The office area features a big, new space with multiple employee lounge areas and clean, open desks arranged in a line-style layout.
The warehouse environment can have varied temperatures and may include some dust and exposure to outside temperatures when bay doors are open.
Safety expectations are high, and you are expected to stay alert to moving equipment and other potential hazards at all times.
The team structure is small and collaborative, with approximately four people in the repair team and four in the warehouse team, and additional team members joining.
The position follows a first-shift schedule, typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime when needed.
Dress is casual but professional, with closed-toe shoes required and no offensive logos, and shorts are discouraged.
Personal protective equipment and safety practices are emphasized to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills,
relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
