**Job Title: General Laborer**
**Job Description**
This role involves supporting a solar installation project on a recent warehouse by safely handling materials, working at heights on a flat roof, and collaborating closely with a telehandler operator and on-site team members.

You will perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions while following fall-protection and safety procedures.
**Responsibilities**
Lift, carry, and place 30 lb concrete blocks consistently throughout the day on the warehouse roof as part of the solar installation process.

Work in tandem with a telehandler operator to unload materials and position them safely on a flat roof.

Follow all fall-protection requirements and safety protocols while working at heights on the roof.

Perform general labor tasks to support the solar installation team, including material handling and site organization.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions and remain prepared for changing elements throughout the shift.

Collaborate with a team of approximately 15 on-site solar installation professionals to complete project tasks efficiently.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area on the roof and surrounding site.

Adhere to scheduled shift hours, break times, and overtime procedures as required by project demands.
**Essential Skills**
Ability to consistently lift and move up to 30 lbs throughout the workday.

Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions, including exposure to sun, wind, rain, and varying temperatures.

Comfort working from heights on a flat roof with proper fall-protection equipment.

Fall-protection training or willingness to complete required fall-protection training prior to or during onboarding.

Experience performing general labor duties in a construction or industrial environment.

Ability to follow safety instructions and work closely with equipment operators, such as telehandler operators.

Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a large on-site crew.

**Work Environment**
The work takes place outdoors on a flat roof at a new warehouse site in Rocky View County.

You will be part of a team of roughly 15 solar installation professionals,



moving 30 lb concrete blocks and materials throughout the day.

The assignment is expected to last approximately 4–5 weeks.

The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including one 30-minute paid lunch break and two 15-minute unpaid breaks.

Overtime is compensated after 44 hours worked in a week.

The environment is physically demanding, requires continuous outdoor exposure, and involves strict adherence to fall-protection and safety standards while working at heights.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
