**Production Worker**

**Job Description**
Join our dynamic production team where you will receive comprehensive training on all aspects of production.

Begin your journey in the sheer machine area, sorting rebar material by size, and progress to other production areas to learn bending, cutting, and material handling using an overhead crane or forklift.

Your skills will determine your long-term placement within the production facility.
**Responsibilities**
Sort rebar material by size in the sheer machine area.

Learn and perform bending, cutting, and safe material handling.

Operate production equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts.

Consistently lift and move materials weighing 50 lbs throughout shifts.

Work in a fast-paced setting and adapt to various production tasks.
**Essential Skills**
2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Mechanical aptitude to operate manufacturing equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously.

Experience with crane and forklift operations.

Understanding of metal fabrication and rebar handling.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in rebar handling and bending.

Familiarity with machine operations such as overhead cranes.

Proficiency in using a tape measurer.

Experience in metal fabrication is advantageous.
**Work Environment**
Work in a clean rebar facility that can be loud, dusty, and colder during the winter months.

Training will be provided by shop supervisors and sr team members.

The facility operates with approximately 35 individuals per shift, promoting a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment.

Personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, arm guards, ear plugs, safety glasses, and high visibility vests are required.

Jeans or cargo work pants are preferred.

The current shift schedule includes a transition to a weekend shift, with overtime paid after 40 hours in a week
Day Shift - 5:30am-1:30pm
Afternoon Shift - 1:30pm to 12:30am

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
