using a variety of tools and machines to make metal parts or assemble components.Key ResponsibilitiesOperation of machinery involved in the fabrication of various types of machinery and structures. This may include plate shears, ironworkers, drilling and tapping equipment, plate burning equipment, plasma cutting, and handheld oxy-acetylene torches.Use of templates, temporary materials, gauging devices, and/or patterns to create materials jointsUnderstanding, proficiency, and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging techniques.Understanding, proficiency, and protected usage of lift trucks up to 8000 lbs.Reading and understanding fabrication drawings and/or CAD drawings.May prepare equipment for painting; assist with assembly ofequipment for shipping, testing of equipment, installation at customer sites and other duties required in daily production activities.Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable recordsWhat You BringFabrication Red Seal3+ years of fabrication experienceProficient in fabrication techniques for the manufacture of custom machinery and projectsStrong mechanical aptitude and installation knowledgeProficiency with all fabrication hand tools (drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, levels, etc.)Read and understand blueprints and shop drawings to meet specifications and tolerancesKnowledge of simple layoutsMust have basic math skills and be able to accurately read a tape measureDemonstrate leadership potential and a desire to grow#J-18808-Ljbffr
