So, if you’re looking to do what you love, we could be a perfect match. Physical Inventory Manager The Physical Inventory Manager coordinates the annual physical inventory process for RONA stores, as well as inventory events within distribution centres and direct delivery centres.
As the main point of contact for stores, this person ensures the proper execution of the inventory preparation and counting process. They are responsible for ensuring inventory count accuracy by conducting follow-ups, physical verifications, audits and variance analyses throughout the process.
Please note: This is primarily a field-based role requiring frequent travel between store locations across Ontario. The successful candidate must be comfortable with a position involving a significant amount of travel. Responsibilities Participate in the development of the annual physical inventory schedule for the assigned territory.
Schedule and record physical inventory dates in the MMS system.
Present and explain the inventory guide and process to store management teams. Support stores and conduct the necessary follow-ups throughout the inventory preparation process. Review and follow up on various management reports in MMS and SODA.
Ensure all required documentation is properly completed by the stores. Ensure stores follow the required inventory counting, control and verification processes. Conduct physical verifications and audits to confirm the accuracy of inventory counts.
Identify, investigate and analyze inventory variances. Ensure significant variances have been properly validated, documented and justified. Record final inventory counts in MMS and SODA. Collaborate with Store Managers and various internal teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
Participate, as required, in physical inventories at distribution centres and direct delivery centres. Qualifications College diploma in a relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail; experience in the home improvement or construction industry is considered an asset.
Hands-on experience with physical inventories, inventory control, store operations or inventory variance analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, investigate and validate inventory variances. Robust organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Detail-oriented, thorough and highly accurate.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences. Ability to build strong business relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
Comfortable working with computer systems and inventory management systems; knowledge of MMS and SODA is considered an asset. Highly self-motivated and capable of making decisions independently in a field-based environment. Available to work occasional evenings, particularly during physical inventory events, as well as a few weekends per year.
Available to travel frequently throughout Ontario and occasionally to other regions. Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
