Full-Time Nanny / Housekeeper — Mahogany, Calgary
We are a warm, busy family in the Mahogany community looking for a reliable and caring **full-time nanny/housekeeper** to join our household. This is our first time hiring a nanny, so we're looking for someone experienced who can help us shape the role together.
Childcare is the top priority, supported by light housekeeping and meal preparation.
## About Our Family
We have two young children — a newborn and a 3-year-old — and a friendly small dog. We're looking for someone who will become a trusted part of our daily routine, bringing patience, warmth, and a genuine love for working with little ones.
## Schedule

- **Full-time**, approximately 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Core hours approximately **noon to 8:00 PM**, though a split shift may also be an option (e.g., mornings evenings)
- We're open to discussing the schedule that works best for both sides

## Responsibilities (not limited to below:)
This is our first time hiring a nanny, so we'd love someone who can bring their own experience and ideas to the role. Here's what we have in mind, but we're happy to shape the day-to-day together.
### Childcare (Primary Focus)

- Providing attentive, nurturing care for a newborn and a 3-year-old
- Preparing bottles, managing nap schedules, and tending to the baby's daily needs
- Engaging the 3-year-old with age-appropriate activities, play, and early learning
- Supervising outings, outdoor play, and daily routines
- Bathing, dressing, and managing children's laundry

### Light Housekeeping

- Tidying common living areas, playrooms,



and children's spaces
- Loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping down kitchen surfaces
- Light vacuuming and general pickup throughout the day
- Taking care of occasional small tasks related to the dog (feeding, letting out)

### Meal Preparation

- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Light meal prep or cooking for the family as needed
- Kitchen cleanup after meals

## Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience caring for infants and toddlers
- Comfortable in a home with a small, friendly dog
- Dependable, punctual, and proactive
- Patient, kind, and genuinely enjoys working with young children
- Able to multitask between childcare and light household duties
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong references from past families or employers

## Nice to Have

- Early childhood education background or relevant training
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with newborn care (sleep routines, feeding schedules)
