Nanny / Household Manager Wanted — NW Calgary

We are a busy professional Calgary family looking for a reliable part time nanny to care for our 14 month old son, and to help keep our household running smoothly. He is in daycare during the week but we need someone two days /week to help with the household, picking him up from daycare, and caring for him for a few hours.

The Position: Live-out position

Scheduled 2 days per week (we require consecutive days but we're versatile on which two weekdays), ~2pm-6PM
Additional hours available evening/weekends or when he's unable to go to daycare. Can be discussed during the interview.

Located in NW Hillhurst
Rate will be based on experience level (range $18-$25/hour)
What the Role Involves:
This is a combined nanny and household management role. Care for our son is the priority — the household support exists to help our home run smoothly while we are at work.
Child Care
Scheduled days are 2-6PM. You'll arrive at ~2PM, but pick up our son at daycare at ~4:30. Daycare is a 7 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. Once home it will mainly consist of a small snack and caring for him with play and activities until we arrive home at ~5:30/6.
Household Management
Supporting the day-to-day management of the household for two working professionals




Cooking and baking muffins, healthy snacks to be put in the freezer etc...)
Dinner prep for the family
General family laundry as time permits

Light tidying and cleaning as time permits

What We Are Looking For: Hands-on experience working with infants — this is a requirement

Experience with meal preparation
Flexibility to extend hours past 6PM to feed, bath, and put him to bed if we're working late considered a strong asset.
Availability on evenings and weekends intermittently is an asset - we'd prefer that Luca be cared for mostly by someone that he knows and trusts rather than having too many different babysitters.
Demonstrates active engagement with childcare — comfortable getting outside in all seasons.
Someone who takes initiative and doesn't need to be managed closely.
Valid driver's license considered an asset.
Copies of current first aid/CPR certification, police background check, and strong references will be required after our first call if it's a good fit for you and for us.
