Join the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) as a Human Resources Generalist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting HR functions and staff development. Contribute to a vibrant work environment while advocating for First Nations.

This position reports to the Director of HR and encompasses diverse responsibilities ranging from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and payroll. You will help implement training initiatives and guide employee relations, all while ensuring alignment with the AFN’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:



• Oversee recruitment process from sourcing to job offers • Provide HR policy advice and conflict resolution support • Conduct employee onboarding and orientation • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements • Administer payroll and manage employee records

Requirements: • Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration • Minimum 5 years HR experience in non-profit or First Nations work • Knowledge of Canadian labor laws essential • Familiarity with HRIS tools and MS Office Suite • Bilingual (English/French) is a plus
