Empower autistic youth through the Canucks Autism Network as a Support Worker this Fall 2026 season. Join us in creating a welcoming environment for participants in Nanaimo.
The Canucks Autism Network is seeking dedicated Support Workers to foster inclusion for autistic children in various programs. You'll provide dynamic support tailored to individual needs in a range of activities, from Multisport to Swim and Skate. Your role is crucial in promoting engagement, confidence, and skill development within a supportive team structure.
Key Responsibilities: • Create a secure and welcoming environment • Adapt activities for meaningful participation • Support individual goals for development • Maintain participant health and wellbeing • Collaborate with team members positively
Requirements: • Must be 16 years or older • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required • Available evenings and weekends • Capable of physical support in Swim and Skate programs • Understanding of autism and neurodiversity
