Empower women and children as a Flexible Residential Client Advocate at Inasmuch House, part of Mission Services. This role focuses on providing tailored support for individuals experiencing abuse and homelessness.
As a relief advocate, you will be integral in risk assessments and crafting safety plans for women-identified clients. The position calls for robust organizational and crisis intervention skills, as well as an understanding of traumatic experiences and their impacts. Your flexible hours will encompass days, nights, and weekends to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer assessments and safety planning for service users • Ensure the secure and supportive environment of the shelter • Facilitate resources and programs for clients • Address child welfare issues in accordance with protocols • Document interactions systematically using software tools
Requirements: • Diploma in Social Service Work, with a preference for a degree • Minimum one year of experience with vulnerable populations • Comprehension of intersectionality and trauma-informed care • Proficient in crisis intervention and organizational abilities • Flexibility to accommodate varied shifts, including weekends
