This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to a key strategic initiative focused on building and enhancing insurance solutions using Guidewire technology. This role can bee filled in: Toronto, Mississauga or Guelph (2 days/week on-site).________________________________________Position SummaryThe Senior Guidewire Developer will design, develop, configure, integrate, and enhance insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter. The successful candidate will work closely with solution designers, technology partners, internal and external IT teams, vendors, and project management to translate business and technical requirements into high-quality solutions. This role will involve Guidewire configuration and workflow development, system integrations, technical analysis, solution design, testing, implementation planning, and ongoing technical collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong Guidewire expertise, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in evaluating and applying emerging technologies, including AI tools.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and enhance insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenterConfigure Guidewire PolicyCenter and develop process workflowsIntegrate Guidewire solutions with existing enterprise systems and develop new functionalityCustomize out-of-the-box Guidewire features to meet solution requirementsDevelop high-quality code, perform unit testing,
and follow established development standardsWork closely with Solution Designers and technology partners to translate requirements into cohesive technical plansEvaluate technologies and technical options to determine appropriate solutionsPerform technical analysis and formulate application design and program logicCollaborate with internal and external IT teams, vendor partners, and project management to ensure effective communication and timely, high-quality deliverablesContribute to and lead implementation, back‑out, and disaster recovery planningSupport solution testing and troubleshooting activitiesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to other team membersEvaluate emerging technologies and tools, including AI‑enabled development tools, where appropriate________________________________________Required QualificationsDiploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline5+ years of experience in the IT industryStrong Guidewire development experienceGuidewire PolicyCenter development and configuration experienceExperience with Guidewire integrations and APIsExperience working with multiple lines of insurance business, such as home, auto, and propertyStrong understanding of software development, technical analysis,
