Electrical Site Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel throughout Canada, to visually inspect electrical building systems in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional buildings industry.
- Conduct and attend site visits including but not limited to site verifications, inspections, and meetings.
- Analyze, diagnose, commission, and provide recommendations for electrical/mechanical equipment as needed.
- Service/maintain/repair lighting systems.
- Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs.
- Apply and adhere to national and provincial building codes across Canada.
- Provides technical support as requested.
- Utilize technology tools such as tablets, markup software to review, annotate, and update electrical drawings and site documentation.
- The ability to complete paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a personal vehicle.
- A valid 309A license with at least 5 years of experience is required.
- A 442A license is considered an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and their operations.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc.
- Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE, CEC, and energy-efficient design principles (LEED AP or CEM certification is an asset).
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationships.
- Solid analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to various work locations and schedules, including the ability to travel away from home is a must.

- Compensation Range: $90,000 - $120,000 /per annum
This compensation represents INVIRO’s current anticipated range for this position. Actual compensation offered may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills.
