Gabrieau’s, based in Antigonish, NS B2G 2C5, is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Waiter/waitress – food and beverage services who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The open positions pertain to Permanent employment or Part-time jobs. The shift timings include Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On-call and Flexible hours.

- The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
- The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
- The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
- The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- The candidate must provide excellent customer service.





Job Requirements

- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate has no supervision responsibilities.
- The candidate must have a Food and Beverage Server trade certificate, Smart Serve Certification,Customer Service Excellence Certificate,Food and Beverage Server Training Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible.
- The candidate must be capable of acting independently and taking initiative.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
