Shape the future of public safety as Weyburn’s Deputy Fire Chief. This temporary full-time position requires solid leadership and operational skills in fire service management.
Reporting to the Acting Fire Chief, you will handle day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation. In addition to organizing training for staff and volunteers, your role includes evaluating fire department programs and acting as a primary decision-maker when needed, enhancing community safety.
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations of the fire department • Organize training programs for firefighters • Evaluate effectiveness of departmental programs • Serve as Acting Fire Chief when required • Ensure compliance with fire safety standards
Requirements: • 3-5 years in fire operations and leadership roles • Degree in Public Administration or related field • Graduate from an advanced Fire College program • Class 3 driver’s license with A endorsement • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR
