Lead senior-focused initiatives as a Program Coordinator with the City of New Westminster. Shape and implement recreational services for seniors at Century House, catering to their diverse interests.
As part of the Parks and Recreation Department, this role focuses on developing and managing programs that enhance senior living in the city. You will collaborate with community resources and volunteer groups while supervising staff to deliver meaningful recreational activities. Your independent judgment and expertise will drive successful programming tailored to seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and assess recreational programs for seniors • Supervise operations at Century House • Coordinate staff and volunteer efforts efficiently • Liaise with community groups and partners • Maintain effective public relations with senior citizens
Requirements: • Degree in Recreation, Gerontology, or relevant experience • Class 5 BC Driver’s License required • Possession of Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C/AED" • Successful completion of Police Information Check • Availability for evening and weekend support
