In this role, you will provide essential support to women who have faced gender-based violence, utilizing your knowledge of feminist practices and harm reduction philosophies. You will create a protected space for healing and promote self-advocacy skills among clients, ensuring they are supported in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supportive and therapeutic counselling
• Facilitate access to community resources
• Develop action and safety plans collaboratively
• Engage in crisis intervention and ongoing support
• Deliver educational group sessions for skill development
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of relevant counselling experience
• Degree/diploma in social work preferred
• First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification
• Deep understanding of anti-violence frameworks
• Strong communication and organizational skills
