Lead resident care initiatives as the Assistant Director of Care at Extendicare Maple View Home in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Foster evidence-based practices while mentoring staff and ensuring quality care.

In this full time position, you will support the Director of Care by implementing nursing department improvements and managing quality assessments. Your leadership will be pivotal in coordinating risk management initiatives, optimizing nursing supply use, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. Additionally, you’ll oversee various programs that contribute to an effective interdisciplinary team approach.

Key Responsibilities:



• Assist in quality improvement and risk management initiatives • Mentor staff across Resident Home Areas • Coordinate utilization of nursing supplies • Lead High Intensity Needs program implementation • Implement and evaluate resident care programs

Requirements: • Registered Nurse with College of Nurses of Ontario • Minimum three years in long term care • Management experience is an asset • Knowledge of RAI MDS required • Current understanding of geriatric clinical issues
