Become a governance expert as a Corporate Governance Law Clerk in Toronto's insurance sector. This contract position offers a hybrid work model with two essential on-site days each week.
In this assignment, you will work closely with the Director of Subsidiary Governance to support Canadian Boards and their administrative functions. Your tasks will include drafting minutes, documenting resolutions, and responding to corporate information queries. Successful candidates will demonstrate solid organizational abilities, discretion, and an understanding of relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities: • Draft governance documents,
including corporate minutes and memos • Maintain minute books and signing authorities for subsidiaries • Collaborate with key stakeholders for certification-related requests • Assist in scheduling Board and planning meetings • Manage special projects and complex matters as assigned
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of applicable experience • Knowledge of Canadian corporate legislation and its implications • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills • Proactive in handling administrative tasks • Experience in a digital, paperless work environment
