We are a production's best ally every step of the way. #OneCastOneCrewPosition OverviewThe Director, Accounting provides financial leadership across the company's general accounting function, with ownership of operating expenses, capital expenditures, internal payroll and benefits costs, and the related balance sheet accounts — including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and lease obligations. Beyond these core functional areas, this role also oversees the accounting for two distinct business units: the CCFS lending business and the Open Health trust, each with its own reporting requirements. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information within a complex, multi‐entity organization while strengthening processes, systems, controls, and team structure. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with hands‐on leadership, a people‐first mindset, and a proven ability to drive process improvement and manage teams across multiple locations. Success requires delivering timely and accurate results under tight deadlines and competing priorities while serving as a genuine team player and collaborative partner across the finance organization. This position reports to an operationally engaged VP, Accounting.Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & ManagementDirect all general accounting functions encompassing operating expenses, capital expenditures, internal payroll and benefits costs, and related balance sheet accounts (fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, leases); additionally oversee accounting for two distinct business lines — the CCFS lending business and the Open Health trust — each requiring standalone reportingReview account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information; improve accounting reconciliation workflows, reporting flows, and close timelines across a complex, multi‐entity organizationMaintain an effective internal control environment across all areas of responsibility; lead control documentation assessment and remediation efforts to strengthen processes, systems, and controls within a complex,



multi‐entity structureFinancial Analysis & ReportingDeliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports with detailed variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and prior‐period performanceProvide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to senior management based on financial trends and variancesCompliance & Audit ManagementSupport the annual 401(k) audit process, including workpaper preparation, coordination with plan auditors, and execution of quarterly internal compliance reviewsSupport tax‐related audits by preparing and providing comprehensive documentation to the corporate tax teamManage timely submission of regulatory compliance filings, including Census, Department of Labor, and Canadian Statistics SurveysSupport the external financial statement audit by providing timely documentation, workpapers, and responses to auditor requests for all areas within scope of this roleCross‐Functional LeadershipFoster strong collaboration across HR, Payroll, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of payroll and benefits transactions in OraclePartner with Finance, Systems, and Technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives; serve as a collaborative thought partner to stakeholders throughout the organization to support business objectives and provide financial guidanceProcess ExcellenceChampion continuous improvement initiatives and identify automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls within the accounting functionEstablish, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and organizational standardsTeam LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team with a people‐first mindset; drive strategic hiring,clear goal setting, proactive performance management, and ongoing professional development to build a high‐performing team across multiple locationsCultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the accounting teamAdditional ResponsibilitiesLead special projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed to support organizational goals and strategic prioritiesKey QualificationsUndergraduate degree in Accounting requiredMinimum of 8 years of progressive, broad‐based accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a management role; experience in a complex,



multi‐entity organization strongly preferredIn‐depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Solid systems experience required, including large enterprise financial systems and business intelligence tools; hands‐on experience with Oracle products preferred; demonstrated ability topartner with technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, and process automationExcel champion (If Statements, Macros, Pivots, Vlookup)High attention to detailStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely, accurate results under tight deadlines in a fast‐paced environmentPeople‐first leadership mindset with strong emotional intelligence; genuine team player whothrives on collaboration, clear communication, and building trust across all levels of the organizationProactive, intellectually curious, and energized by process improvement; approaches challenges with a continuous improvement mindset and a bias toward actionPreferred QualificationsExperience in the technology, software, services, or entertainment industry a plusCPA preferredSpecial Work ConditionsSedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
