In this one-year position, you will support plant growth under the supervision of the Manager of Allied Health Services. Your role includes performing essential tasks such as planting, irrigation, pest management, and environmental controls to ensure high-quality food production. Preference will be given to individuals from Six Nations and other First Nations communities, enhancing the connection between traditional practices and modern agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish optimal conditions for plant growth
• Operate and maintain greenhouse irrigation and climate controls
• Carry out crop harvesting and quality packaging
• Implement pest management and disease prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate greenhouse documentation for operational planning
Requirements:
• Graduate in Greenhouse Technician or related field
• 2-3 years in operating greenhouses
• Must hold a Greenhouse Structural Exterminator’s License
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
