Support the development of students with Blind or Low Vision at the Halton District School Board as an Itinerant Teacher. This role involves direct collaboration on individualized learning plans and specialized instruction.

In this long-term occasional position starting September 2, 2026, you'll work with students across the entire board. As an Itinerant Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized educational programs. Your support will be crucial in providing Braille instruction and conducting vision assessments to ensure students thrive academically.

Key Responsibilities:



• Develop individualized programs for students with vision needs • Provide literacy and numeracy instruction in Braille • Conduct Functional Vision assessments for students • Collaborate with school teams on Individual Education Plans • Train staff on supporting students with Blind or Low Vision

Requirements: • Specialist in Teaching Students Who Are Blind/Low Vision • Direct experience with relevant instructional strategies • Knowledge of Braille and tactile programming • Solid collaborative planning skills • Familiarity with assessment tools
