We are seeking a candidate to work in our school setting providing whole group, small group, 1:1 support and behaviour management in the classroom. The candidate will have the benefit of working within a multi-disciplinary team of experts such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, music therapists, and behaviour analysts. Responsibilities:





Create Individual Education Plans for your students Ongoing communication with families Plan, organize, and assign activities that are specific to each student’s abilities Supervise and mentor teacher assistants Use individualized reinforcement technique Teach in large group, small group and one-on-one settings Implement Independent Activity Schedules Implement social skills, life skills and self-regulation strategies Collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team Discuss student’s progress with parents, teachers, and administrator Implement behaviour management protocol Record and track data Qualifications and Skills:

Ontario College of Teachers Certification is preferred Special Education Part 1 Additional Qualification, and experience working with students with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD considered an asset Effective experience working with a broad variety of learners and children in an educational setting Ability to work as part of a team Experience working with children of all ages CPR and crisis prevention certifications (preferred) 36 Atkinson Ave, Vaughan, ON L4J 5B1, Canada
