Backwoods Energy Services is looking for a diligent Forestry Equipment Operator in Alberta. This role focuses on operating equipment like Excavators and Skidders in challenging environments while promoting safety.
Candidates must have prior experience and be dedicated to maintaining high safety standards while maximizing productivity. The position includes working a 10-days-on, 4-days-off rotational schedule and requires travel to project sites near Edmonton and Edson. Daily inspections and general labor duties are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Feller Buncher and Processor efficiently
• Conduct routine safety inspections and maintenance
• Ensure safe equipment operation in soft ground conditions




• Transparent timber and prepare land for further processing
• Collaborate with teams to optimize log handling
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience with relevant machinery
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with good record
• Standard First Aid and CSTS 2020 certifications
• Ground Disturbance Level II certification
• Ability to work rotational shifts and varying weather
