This role requires an Honours Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. You will lead community consultations, research best practices, and help develop and revise planning policies while ensuring alignment with local needs and goals. Your work is pivotal in shaping Hamilton’s diverse neighborhoods and planning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research on community planning best practices
• Facilitate public engagement and community consultations
• Develop, review, and update planning policies




• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams for project delivery
• Evaluate and report on planning proposals for compliance
Requirements:
• Honours Degree in Planning or related field
• Two years of urban planning experience
• Membership in Canadian Institute of Planners
• Robust communication and analytical skills
• Familiarity with Ontario Planning Act and policies
