As part of the LaPrairie Group of Companies, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of cranes. Careful execution of lifts and maintaining equipment documentation is vital. Candidates should be dedicated and proficient in ensuring compliance with safety regulations while working alongside apprentices in a cooperative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Rig cranes appropriately with necessary extensions and hook blocks
• Handle both routine and extra-heavy lifts with expertise
• Maintain and interpret load charts for accurate operation
• Monitor apprentice safety during crane activities
• Document all service and maintenance performed on the crane
Requirements:
• Member in good standing with Local 955
• Willingness to relocate to Fort McMurray
• Red Seal Certification required
• Class 1 Driver's License essential
• Proven experience with heavy machinery operation
