Database Reliability Engineer IV– PagerDutyJoin PagerDuty to tackle complex problems, collaborate with ambitious people, and help build a more equitable world in a flexible, award‑winning workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Engineering stakeholders to design and deliver reliable, scalable, secure, and performant data platforms.Continuously improve the customer experience: full lifecycle support, observability, flexible connectivity, and monitoring.Stay current on technology trends and deliver creative tools and approaches to interesting problems.Share expertise with the entire Engineering organization.Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.Basic Qualifications5+ years of experience in SRE, DBRE, or Software Development.3+ years of experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra, etc.Experience in one or more of the following languages: Ruby, Python, or Golang.Experience working on cloud‑native infrastructure in AWS.Experience working with a container scheduler platform, preferably Kubernetes.Preferred QualificationsInfrastructure as code (Terraform) for managing database & cloud resources.Data streaming solutions such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, etc.Monitoring,



observability, and logging platforms for databases (e.G. DataDog, New Relic, Grafana Logs).Configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for database infrastructure management.Automation of database releases, continuous integration/delivery systems focused on performance and reliability.Location & CompensationToronto office – 2 days per week. Base salary range: 137,000 – 207,000 CAD.
