Carewest is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Therapy Aide at the Colonel Belcher location. Candidates will assist residents in various Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and facilitate social events and group exercises. This position is crucial for enhancing residents' functional abilities through comprehensive support in a team-oriented workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• Instruct craft classes and facilitate social events
• Support group exercises and therapeutic games
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Grade 12 graduation required
• Current Basic Life Support Provider CPR certification
• PCA or equivalent certification needed
• Related experience in healthcare preferred
• Geriatric experience is an asset
