Job Description The Division of Microbiology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Valley Regional Hospital is seeking a Medical Microbiologist to fill a 0.25 Full-Time Equivalency (FTE). The successful candidate will work alongside our team of Pathologists to provide oversight of microbiology related testing for the Western Zone.
Responsibilities
Provide care and coordination of community-based care,
and secondary and tertiary level health care Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities Provide medical oversight of diagnostic testing within the section Communicatewith end-users regarding test interpretation and utilization Teachmedical students and residents rotating through the laboratory Represent Western Zone at microbiology related provincial meetings Report to the Zone Pathology Department Head and Division Head of Medical Microbiology QEII for their qualified responsibilities and quality of practice on a quarterly basis

Remuneration
Remuneration is a blend of Academic Funding and salary estimated $100-125,000 per year for 0.25 FTE.
