Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer
assesses non-conforming materials, parts, or productsanddeterminestheappropriate dispositionwithin the defined parameters of the MRB process. This involves analyzing the nature and extent of non-conformance, evaluating potential rework or repair options, and making recommendations for disposition, which may include rework, concession/repair, or scrap.
In this role you will:
Assess and evaluatenon-conformancearisingfromproduction andsupply to formulate a disposition within the defined MRBlimits.
Review customer requirements toidentifyreworkoptions.
Analyzecustomer requirements and historical results toidentifyrepairoptions.
Provide recommendation for disposition (rework, concession/repair, scrap).
Liaise withProduction, Programs, Engineering, Supply Chain,customers,vendors, andsubcontractor representativesto ensuretimelycompletion of actions to address non-conformance issues.
Ensure that performance and quality of products conform toestablishedcompany, customer, and regulatorystandards.
Support Continuous Improvement activities with data analysis, RCCA, etc. to enhance processes andprocedures.
Perform administrative duties as assigned.
You have:
Bachelor’s degreein related fieldwith a minimum of 5 years’ experience inaerospace ormanufacturingindustry in aqualityengineering environment
Minimum twoyears working within a Material ReviewBoard(MRB)team inmanufacturingpreferred.
Registered and in good standing with a Professional EngineeringOrganization, with ability to transfer membership to Engineer’s Nova Scotia.
Valuable communicationskills and theabilityto work wellina teamenvironment.
Organized anddetail-oriented, able to prioritize at the task level according to top level companyobjectives.
Ability to work in a highly agile and fast-pacedenvironment.
Ability to influence and drive for results in a matrixed working environment.
Good understanding of computing tools and programs, including MS office suite.
Good understanding ofaerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
Experience withcomposites,generalmachining,finishingandassembly processesisanasset.
Knowledge and experience inrootcause/corrective action analysis tools (5 whys, Ishikawa, etc.) an asset.
