The City of Penticton is searching for a Sustainability Coordinator for a 12-month term, playing a vital role in executing sustainability initiatives. You will engage with various departments and implement plans to reduce GHG emissions while enhancing community awareness and involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the Community Climate Action Plan
• Track and report on emissions and energy use
• Supervise community sustainability workshops
• Work with stakeholders for program input
• Explore funding mechanisms for energy projects
Requirements:
• Degree in Planning or Environmental Studies
• Solid knowledge of climate change mitigation
• Minimum two years of relevant sustainability experience
• Exceptional communication skills
• Class 5 Driver's License
