Job Description

Job Tasks:

- Identify and search for relevant RFPs/RFQs and bidding opportunities on client and bidding portals.
- Ensure RTS is registered on all necessary procurement and vendor registration platforms.
- Review project drawings, technical specifications, and client requirements.
- Create cost estimates for electrical panels, enclosures, and utility solutions, factoring in materials and manhours.
- Obtain pricing information from vendors and suppliers for materials and subcontracted services.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids, including documents such as lead letters, schedules, and other required submissions, ensuring compliance with all bid submission requirements.
- Identify potential project risks and anticipate pricing fluctuations.
- Collaborate with the sales, engineering, and project teams to ensure pricing accuracy.




- Track and follow up on bid or quote submissions.
- Follow up with clients for debriefings if RTS did not secure the project.
- Attend site meetings as necessary to assess project conditions.
- Regularly update the Approved Vendor List (AVL) with accurate and timely data.
- Research and compile a list of alternative vendors outside of the AVL.
- Optimize and streamline the existing estimation/costing sheet in Excel to improve accuracy.
- Maintain and update opportunities and lead generation data in Salesforce.
- Keep the quote letter template updated with the latest logos and relevant information.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience in Industrial, Water & Waste Water or Utility projects.

Software Skills: Microsoft Excel, SalesForce CRM.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, and CEC standards.

Communication: Solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
