As a Disability Services Worker, you will facilitate the independent living of adults with developmental disabilities. Your experience with mental health challenges will support individuals in building coping strategies, fostering independence, and participating in community activities. You will work closely with clients to ensure their personal growth and well-being, reporting to the Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support daily living skills and household chores • Assist in community access activities • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs • Respond effectively to crisis situations • Document client observations and daily reports
Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health support • Diploma in relevant field or equivalent • Valid class 5 driver license • National Criminal Record Check required • Ability to handle aggression in a qualified manner
