As a Learning Facilitator at Nimkee, you’ll design and implement educational programs tailored to the unique needs and experiences of youth in residence. Your work will encompass a broad range of subjects, integrating traditional knowledge and cultural teachings into meaningful learning experiences. You will collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team to provide support and foster healing through education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop personalized education plans aligned with the Ontario curriculum • Facilitate learning across multiple grade levels and subjects • Weave cultural identity and land-based knowledge into lessons • Build trusting relationships with youth using a strengths-based approach • Document educational progress and maintain comprehensive records
Requirements: • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Ontario curriculum knowledge • Demonstrated commitment to cultural competence • Strong communication and teamwork abilities • Flexibility in adapting teaching methods • Physical capability for outdoor and community engagements
