Make a difference with the Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing as a full-time Community Advocacy Service Worker. This role focuses on case management and support for adults with developmental disabilities.
In this position, you will work collaboratively within the Community Integration and Advocacy team. Your advocacy skills will be essential for supporting individuals at varying cognitive levels. This full time role involves providing case management services and community support, with evening hours required once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advocacy and support services to adults in need • Perform case management for individuals with developmental disabilities • Collaborate with external service providers • Maintain detailed documentation and organizational tasks • Ensure adherence to APSW guidelines and related legislation
Requirements: • BA/BSW in Social Sciences or relevant diploma • Experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities • Bilingual in French and English preferred • Valid Ontario driver’s license with reliable vehicle access • Familiarity with relevant legislation and advocacy principles
