The CompanyDuring an exciting period of growth at BQE Water Inc., continued expansion of water treatment operations at new sites across North America has created exciting new opportunities for Plant Supervisors to join our team throughout Canada. Depending on operational requirements and the successful candidate's location, roles could be based at a specific treatment plant or involve regular business travel to support multiple sites nationally. We are seeking experienced industrial operations professionals with a proven background in site-based environments, strong leadership potential, and are familiar with and enjoy rotational work schedules and the extended time off they provide between shifts. While many plants operate seasonally, these permanent supervisory positions include valuable off-season opportunities focused on training, project support, and career development, offering rewarding year-round career progression with an industry-leading international company.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day operations coordination of plant activities alongside relationship building and maintenance with client site management, contractors and personnel.Supervision of a team of operating staff and visiting Junior Process Engineers, delivering process training and ongoing career development support.Execution of onboarding plans to train site-based or assigned staff, leading by example and governing company policy, SOPs and processes adherence.Responsible for all aspects of daily water treatment plant operations and maintenance, actively identifying and pursuing potential operational improvement.Overseeing plant inventories, including materials, consumables and PPE, coordinating reorders with site owners or vendors.Analyzing and reporting water treatment plant performance data insights to site, operations and head office management.Provision of leadership regarding safety and environmental compliance.Supporting the technology development group by reconciling process application data, reagent consumption,
and plant utilization.Other duties as assigned by Operations Management.Eligibility CriteriaA minimum of three years of previous technical, maintenance and industrial plant operations work experience is requiredWater treatment plant experience specifically, and/or water treatment certifications are an asset – flag those for us!Degree in a related field is an asset e.G., chemical engineering, hydrometallurgy, mining, mineral processing or mechanical engineeringStrong communication, interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skillsKnowledgeable and competent using a range of standard computer software programs e.G., MS Office SuitePrior experience in updating and/or creating operations reports and technical documentationProven comfort collaborating effectively with various stakeholdersConfident promoting and achieving continuous safety and operations quality performance improvementsWhile not mandatory, being fluent in English and French is an asset, as we have many sites nationally including QCPhysical RequirementsAble to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlOccasional need to climb stairs and ladders on shift, including verticallyRequire to lift and/or move up to 10lbs sometimesMust be 'fit for duty' and may be required to undertake pre-access testingSpecific vision abilities required by this job may include close visionPaid annual vacationHealthcare plan enrollment on hireBonus company-funded HSA and up to 5% GRRSP matching upon probation completionUp to $1,000 annually in education matchingProfessional dues (if applicable to role), safety certification, PPE and travel reimbursementsCompensation$120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per yearCURRENT OPENINGSWe're proud to have a diverse team with a wide range of knowledge and backgrounds, all working together to build a more sustainable future.Plant Supervisor (Water Treatment)Commissioning EngineerLab Process Engineer (Intermediate/Senior)Headquartered in Vancouver BC, with smaller offices in Chile, #J-18808-Ljbffr
