Support engineering students at the University of Waterloo as an Instructional Support Coordinator. Engage in tutoring, mentoring, and developing creative educational strategies. In this full time position within the Faculty of Engineering, you will assist first year students through tutorials and labs while overseeing a team of tutors.
Your role also includes grading assignments and managing course documentation to support student learning effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Tutor students in fundamental engineering disciplines
Oversee and mentor First-Year Tutors and teaching assistants
Develop grading systems and course materials
Schedule classes and coordinate academic help sessions
Train students in lab procedures and equipment use Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
Teaching experience is preferable
Solid understanding of calculus, physics, and programming
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Familiarity with engineering lab practices Facilitate a nurturing academic atmosphere and guide first-year engineers to success at the University of Waterloo.
