Join the University of Alberta as a Research Data Management Implementation Specialist in a hybrid capacity. Lead the development and evaluation of strategies to advance data stewardship in research. This two-year term position reports to the Director of Research Ethics and Integrity, focusing on the operationalization of the University’s Research Data Management Strategy.

You will ensure that RDM practices meet institutional and evolving compliance standards while fostering collaboration within the campus community. Key Responsibilities:
Implement the University’s Research Data Management Strategy
Assess RDM readiness and identify operational gaps
Collaborate with library services and research departments
Ensure compliance with evolving data management mandates
Foster a culture of responsible data stewardship and integrity Requirements:
Expertise in research data management practices
Familiarity with Tri-Agency funding mandates
Solid independent judgment and initiative
Knowledge of data stewardship and privacy regulations
Experience with Indigenous Data principles and standards Lead initiatives that enhance research data integrity and innovation at the University of Alberta.
