This position offers the chance to thrive in a research-intensive workplace, utilizing 50% of your time for surgical services and the other half for academic responsibilities. Engage with DVM students during their critical training years, emphasizing both high-quality surgical practices and cutting-edge research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform surgical procedures on horses and large livestock
Mentor and instruct veterinary students and interns
Develop and conduct research programs in large animal surgery
Deliver lectures and hands-on training in the DVM curriculum
Collaborate on departmental projects and initiatives
Requirements:
DVM degree and relevant surgical residency completion
Certification qualification in veterinary surgery
Experience in teaching is an asset
Proven ability in academic research and publication
