Salary Range CAD $80,000 to $100,000DOE

Job Summary Reporting to the Site Director, the Cultivation Manager leads cultivation activities and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role is accountable for improving operational effectiveness through active floor presence, KPI monitoring, continuous improvement, and effective management of people and processes.

Manage people, process, and equipment for cultivation activities

Provide leadership, help build and motivate staff to achieve production targets

Motivate and lead a high-performance team. This includes the ability to attract, recruit, retain and develop highly talented and motivated individuals to help support business growth

Prepare work schedules, assign specific duties as required, and ensure assignments are effectively communicated to the team





Ensure that cultivation activities and finished product are compliant with both internal and regulated standards

Foster and drive a continuous improvement culture and make recommendations on changes to team structure, process, and equipment

Partner with Quality Assurance to improve workflow, identify, and correct process gaps effectively and swiftly.

Establish, measure, and monitor cultivation related KPIs for communication to the Site Director by means of daily/weekly reports and dashboarding

Monitor departmental performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary

Develop and sustain an effective and efficient knowledge transfer capability within the facility in order to support broader Corporate objectives

Ensure the facility complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, best practices

Lead safety culture by ensuring all team members, processes, and equipment adhere to established and regulated OHS requirements.

Perform other duties as may be required by management

Qualifications

2-5 years of progressive experience in operations, with experience in the agribusiness, perishable food, or beverage industry required. Cannabis product production and processing experience strongly preferred.

Familiarity with batch records and cannabis cultivation requirements

Solid knowledge and understanding of Provincial and Federal Occupational Health and Safety Regulations

Demonstrated ability to instill a culture of high performance, accountability, and quality

Demonstrated interpersonal savvy and relationship management/networking skills

Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and manage through difficult situations

Excellent ability to delegate and can effect change through others without direct involvement

Strong written and oral communication skills

Exercises innovative tactics and encourages others to demonstrate creative approaches

Participate in ongoing training as directed by Management

Develop, maintain and comply with work instructions, standard operating procedures, training programs, and administrative responsibilities
