Join the HART Hub as a full time Peer Support Outreach Worker, helping individuals overcome mental health and addiction hurdles. Use your lived experiences to empower East End Communities.
Your role will involve providing recovery-oriented, client-centered support primarily through the Mobile Mental Health & Addictions Unit. Through fostering relationships based on trust and empathy, you will help clients navigate available services and regain stability within their community, emphasizing holistic and culturally secure approaches. Key Responsibilities:
Provide trauma-informed outreach support tailored to clients’ needs
Facilitate access to mental health and addiction services
Strengthen community ties and resource availability
Operate a vehicle for mobile outreach efforts
Uphold a respectful, confidential setting for clients Requirements:
Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery
Comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care practices
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Naloxone training
Experience working with marginalized populations Make a meaningful impact in community health through compassionate and informed peer support.
