The full time specialist will collaborate within the People(s) and Culture/OHS team to develop and implement a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety program. Engage in health risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance activities to ensure a secure educational environment. Your contributions will directly influence Humber's commitment to fostering a culture of safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain health and safety programs • Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations • Manage hazardous spill controls and emergency preparedness • Review WSIB claims and support return-to-work efforts • Liaise with regulatory agencies on health and safety matters
Requirements: • University degree in occupational health or related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety • Robust understanding of OHS legislation and regulations • Designation in safety or occupational hygiene preferred • Excellent communication and organizational skills
