Become a vital part of Shared Health as a Unit Assistant in Winnipeg. This in-person position focuses on patient support and collaboration in the Acute Stroke Unit. As a Unit Assistant, you will work under the guidance of registered nurses and assist them in providing high-quality patient care.
Candidates should possess a recognized Health Care Aide certification and prior experience in a health-related role. Solid organizational skills and effective communication abilities are essential to navigate the responsibilities effectively. Key Responsibilities:
Support healthcare team members in delivering patient care
Assist with patient mobility, including lifting and transferring
Ensure safety protocols are followed in all tasks
•Organize and prioritize workload effectively
Participate in mandatory training and orientation Requirements:
Previous patient care experience is preferred
Must have completed a Health Care Aide course
Minimum grade 10 education is required
Excellent oral and written English skills
